Richard is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Information System Auditor, Certified Forensic Accountant, Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Technology Professional, Chartered Trust and Estate Planner, Registered Financial Analyst, Chartered Market Analyst, Forensic Accountant and holds a Diplomat status of the American Board of Forensic Accounting, among several other certifications. Richard is a fellow of the American Academy of Financial Management, and his accounting related academic qualifications include two Masters Degrees in Accounting and Information systems from the University of Texas, a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle University, and numerous undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Accounting. Richard brings into the practice of public accounting a highly diversified academic knowledge and expertise in the areas of accounting information systems design and analysis and IS security, fraud detection and forensic accounting, E-commerce and perpetual inventory systems, quality control, and accounting for international tax and free trade zone operations, with more than 18 years of international accounting, government and non-for-profit accounting, and reorganization & turnaround management experience gained in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Richard possesses extensive experience in performing security-related information system audits, and particular experience in auditing small and medium accounting systems.
